In order to maintain the beauty and maximize the life of your cover please follow
these general care guidelines courtesy of Canvas2Cover.
Mildew grows on accumulated dirt and debris and not on the cover itself – which is why it is important
to keep your cover clean.
Other foreign material and foliage can stain, damage, and in some cases may contain acids that can
deteriorate your cover. Please use caution and keep your cover free of these hazards. Such damage is
not covered under warranty.
The frequency with which your cover will require cleaning depends on your local climate and storage
environment. Proper cleaning of your cover can extend its life far beyond the warranty period. A general
guideline is to hose your cover off with fresh water and mild soap every month or so to prevent dirt and
debris from setting in and to do more thorough cleaning as required.
Never put your cover in a dryer.
Never use abrasive cloths or cleaners.
You can extend the water repellency of your cover by retreating it after heavy use. We recommend
you use 303 Fabric Guard (available at most hardware stores) which requires 2 light coats and should last for
5 years or until another thorough cleaning. Follow manufacturer’s directions for application
When storing, always ensure cover is clean and completely dry to avoid mildew and mold forming on
the cover during storage. Hang dry before folding. Store your cover in a cool, dry place, out of direct
sunlight
Condensation concerns. All covers are breathable to some degree. Depending on the type of material
and local climate/storage conditions, you may find condensation forms under the cover. In such cases we
recommend installing after market vents on your cover to help air circulate. These can be purchased in our
accessory section or by directly calling 1-800-567-7767
